Xolile Tshabalala Biography – Age, Husband, Nominations, Movies and TV

Award winning South African actress, Producer and Director,  Xolile Tshabalala,who is widely known for her role as Julia Motene on the SABC1 soapie Generations : The Legacy. She was born on 9th April, 1977, in Vrede.

She graduated from the National School of the Arts with the honour of best overall performer. In 2005, she took a break from acting to attend the New York Film Schoolso as to enable her produce and direct films.

Xolile has worked on various television shows like: Justice for All, Scoop Schoombie, Isidingo, Secret in my Bosom and Soul City, to mention but a few. In addition to these, she has also worked on various industrial theatre productions, including Another Child. She played the role of Sister Zama in the seventh season of the SABC1 drama series Soul City (in 2006), and played a guest role in the fifth season of the American drama series NCIS, in 2007.

She starred as Mandi Mbalula, Mvelo’s (Yonda Thomas) father’s calculating accountant and second in command at Nobela Holdings, in the SABC1 drama series Fallen, in 2011, TT’s gorgeous wife Gugu,  in the SABC3 drama series High Rollers, in 2013.

Xolile has received a number of acting awards, including the 2003 Duku Duku Viewers Choice award, 2004 People Magazine Crystal Award for best soap actress to name a few. She was also nominated for  Golden Horn Award for Best Achievement by a Lead Actress in a Made for TV Movie.
