Born November 12, 1977, Babalwa Mneno is a model, reality TV personality and an entrepreneur. She came to prominence after becoming a runner-up to Peggy-Sue Khumalo (the winner) in 1996 Miss South Africa pageant. Apart from her modelling career Barbz owns a big hair salon in South Africa.

Babalwa participated in DStv Big Brother Africa (Star Game) in 2012 and was also one of the celebrities that danced in the SABC2 reality competition Strictly Come Dancing 2 in 2006 but was the first to be voted out.
