Patty Monroe (real name Megan Steenkamp) is a South African rapper who was born and raised in Cape Town’s Southfield suburbs. Being the youngest of three children, her interest in becoming a hip-hop musician grew from watching her brother who was an MC, who took her to a Night of the Beat Bangers event while she was only 15.

Patty Monroe was inspired by the likes of MC Lyte and Missy Elliot and has roped in producers like Ganja Beats, pH and Blayze to work on a forthcoming, as-yet-untitled project to be released by Afterlife Talent. High Fashion will appear on this project. Patty was born in 1995.
