Simphiwe Ngema was born on August 29, 1989 in Klipspruit in the Soweto township of Johannesburg. She is a South African actress, singer, MC, presenter and a choreographer. The talented actress have two sisters and she’s the middle one among them. The pastor’s daughter studied Journalism at Boston Media House.

Simphiwe Ngema co-founded Still We Rise Trading (SWR) with her sister and came to limelight with her role as Thuli Nkosi on SABC 2’s Duma Ka Ndlovu created hit soap opera, Muvhango. She sees Sindi Dlathu as her older sister and role model. Her husband Dumi Masilela, a South African actor who she got married to in May 2017 was fatally shot dead on August 2, 2017 during an attempted hijacking.
