Pearl real/full name is PEARL OLAMMA AWA-AGWU, born on the 18th of October, 1994. she hail from from Ohafia in Abia State. she came to limelight when she emerged first runner up of MTN Project fame West Africa Competition Season 8.

Olanma Pearl AWA-AGWU. born on the 18th of October, 1994. she is a twin and her
twin sister’s name is Uzoma Ruby AWA-AGWU and she was also in the Project
fame West Africa Competition. I’m from Ohafia in Abia State. Pearl is a
graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State where she
studied Foreign Languages and Literature. She come from a close knit family of
8; that’s 6 kids and her parents. she is quite an introvert, but then that
largely depends on who she is with at a particular time.
Pearl was born and raised in Lagos state and her education background up until university level was founded in Lagos
state. her primary school education was in Cornerstone International School,
Akute, Lagos state; and secondary school education was in Queen’s College, Yaba,
Lagos; and she is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu state
where I studied Foreign Languages an Literature. she majored in French Language
and had Russian Language as an elective. she was opportune to participate in a 1
year language immersion programme in Togo and that further improved her fluency
in French Language.
Pearl is currently resides at Umuahia, Abia State, but
making arrangements to relocate to Lagos state just so it’s easier to promote my
music when the time comes.
Pearl Olamma started singing really early. her mum
always says she sang before she spoke. All my siblings sing, so she was
basically born into a musical family. her earliest memories are of all of them in
the back yard harmonizing songs and laughing. Music was one of the things
that made the family so close, it had this wonderful way of uniting them. she didn’t
do any serious singing till I got into the University where she joined her
fellowship choir.
Pearl currently has her first official studio single “KURO ” Produced by OMO and the song is gaining lots of airplay at the moment.
