Born on December 16, 1983, in Diepkloof’s Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, South Africa, Dineo (meaning Gifts) Ranaka is a South African radio and television presenter, reality star and MC. She was trained at 5fm legend Barney Simon as a radio Dj and was a stand-in jock for the station. She also appeared on the Fanta World Chart Show with Brown Suga. Dineo lead in a musical theatre production called Sexy and The City and has guest starred on a number of television series including cameo roles in Gaz’lam, Generations, Stokvel, Home Affairs, A Place Called Home, Erfsondes and Yizo Yizo. She also played herself in a recurring role on the e.tv soapie Scandal!, in late 2011.
She reportedly spent three days in the Life Fourways Hospital after she was admitted for a brain-related chronic illness caused by stress and hypertension.[14] On Thursday 24 February 2011 Dineo was admitted and discharged after two days of treatment following her being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. She is famous for hosting the music shows Noted (SABC3) and Club 808 (e.tv), and the first season of the SABC1 celebrity gossip show The Real Goboza.
