Sonia Nomthandazo Sedibe (formerly Mbele) was born on December 11, 1976 in Natalspruit. She is a South African actress who started her acting career when she joined a high school theatre group. Following her wonderful talent in acting, she won the FNB Vita Award for Most Promising New Actress in 1998/1999.

She is popularly known for her starring role as Ntombi Khumalo on the SABC1 soapie Generations, from 2003-2011. Sonia have featured in Soul City and Muvhango and in films such as Mr. Bones and God Is African.
