Christina Shusho is a popular Gospel Worship Singer who hails from
Tanzania.
She has collaborated with other artists across East Africa in her music
as well as many artists from her home country and in Kenya she recently
did Napenda with Geraldine Oduor.
Christina Shusho started her journey from humble
back grounds, once a church cleaner that enjoyed her job, until the day
she recognized her talent in singing.
She was Born in Kigoma Tanzania mid days of November to a born again
Christian family and had a religious upbringing. At the age of 15 years
she gained her own salvation up to this day.
She went through Tanzanian education system, where she schooled at
Kigoma for both primary and secondary schools. Then got married in Dar
es Salaam to John who is a practicing preacher and are blessed with 3
children- 2 girls and 1 boy.
From working in the church, she later joined the church choir which
later drove her to try and sing her own solo piece. She then tried to
sing out of choir, wrote her songs in trials with hope that she would
release her own solo album someday.
History and background of Christina Shusho:
Christina Shusho started her life humbly with beginnings as a cleaner in
a church until she discovered her untapped musical talent ten years
ago. Born in Kigoma in Tanzania to a family of born-again Christians and
an upbringing steeped in religion she found her own salvation at an
early age.
Her schooling was in Kigoma and later she was married in Dar-es-Salaam
to John who is a preacher and today they are blessed with three lovely
children. Christina graduated from working in the church to joining the
church choir where further down the line she was inspired to go solo.
Christina sang her own music and songs with the dream and aspirations of
releasing her own album.

- Her first album was ‘Kitu gani kinitenge na upendo wa Bwana’– this was mostly sold in Tanzania fast gaining local popularity.
- Thereaftershe released both ‘Unikumbuke’ and ‘Nipe Macho’ which together made up a total of 34 well accepted songs.
Of special interest is that Christina is not only a talented musician
but she is also a model and owns her own modeling agency – with a belief
that beauty should be both from within and without.
