DFresh Biography

Zambian musician D­Fresh real/full name is Chimuka Devon Chilala, He was born on February 26, 1993, D­Fresh which was created from (D being short for Devon),
is an independent Zambian hip hop recording artist, songwriter and holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting, and he hail from Kitwe’s Copperbelt Province.


In 2013, DFresh recorded his first song, a cover to Canadian rapper Drake’s Dreams Money Can Buy which
became an underground success. He then went on to release a compilation mixtape Still Clearing that featured
hit songs like Distant Memory, Its On Ft. Milez and Never Break Away Ft. Grizzy Grillz.

He subsequently started
working on his second EP in the early months of 2015 as a return to the music scene and called it The Hype.
The EP was led by hit anthem All About recorded over American Producer Jahlil’s instrumental titled Voices, off
the 2013 beat tape Genius. The Hype received positive review and Soundcloud plays. It also ended up on
popular music site, im1music.

 later in 2015, D­Fresh released his biggest song yet, Come My Way which
featured afro RnB artist Izzy J. He later performed the song at the 2015 Zambia Catholic University Beauty
Pageant (Miss ZCU). Come My Way was backed with Fresh’s first ever music video, which brought about
amazing reviews and feedback from fans both old and new. D­Fresh is currently a Partner/Regional Manager of
Zambia’s first ever artist development and music distribution company ZeeMusic, which is set to have its
biggest project later in 2016, The ZeeMusic Creative Awards.
