Born on December 22, 1982 as the last child in a family of three children  in Soweto, Gauteng, Teko Modise is a South African professional football player who plays for his Country’s national team and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League.
Prior to playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, he played for Orlando Pirates where he had a wonderful career. Modise became famous after a year at the Pirates, a fan favourite for the whole of South Africa. His unique skill and shooting abilities earned him the PSL ‘top scorer’ award in 2008.
He was voted Mvela Golden League Player of the Season while playing for City Pillars during the 2005/2006 season. In 2008 and 2009, he became the inaugural PSL Footballer of the Year playing for Orlando Pirates. Teko was once married to Felicia Modise.
