Born on June 25, 1975 as the oldest of four children, three brothers and one sister in Impendle, a small town 60km away from Pietermaritzburg, Xolani Gwala is a South African radio DJ, TV presenter and journalist. He completed his high school at St. Marys Secondary School.
Xolani studied for a diploma in Public Relations Management, also known as Media Studies at Natal Technikon in Durban, KwaZulu Natal in 1993 and completed it in 1995 . Gwala also has two daughters and believes in good working ethics, he respects his fellow colleagues and those with whom he associates on a daily basis. He has received recognition from millions of South African TV viewers and radio listeners for his SABC 1 talk show, Asikhulume, and his SA FM talk show, PM Live.
