Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Biography – Age, Family

The great economist and also a politician Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was born on 13 June 1954 to Professor Chukwuka Okonjo. She hails from Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta State and this are her educational qualifications;

From the research of mybiohub team, she made history too by being the first female and black candidate to contest for the presidency of the World Bank Group in 2012. She has served as the Minister of Finance from 15 July 2003 – 21 June 2006 under former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo and also from 11 July 2011 – 29 May 2015 under former president Goodluck Jonathan. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is married to Dr. Ikemba Iweala, a neurosurgeon from Umuahia, Abia State, and they have four children.
