Oby Ezekwesili Biography – Age

Obiageli (often referred to as Oby) Ezekwesili is chartered accountant known for spear heading Bring Back Our Girls campaign when the Boko Haram Insurgent group kidnapped 276 female students from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria during the tenure of former president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan. Born on April 28, 1963, she holds a master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Oby has served in many capacities which includes; Federal Minister of Solid Minerals during the second-term presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria from June 2005 – June 2006, Federal Minister of Education, Nigeria from June 2006 – April 2007 and co-founder of Transparency International, serving as one of the pioneer directors of the global anti-corruption body based in Berlin, Germany.
