Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor is a track and field athlete from Nigeria that engages in long jumping and short sprints. She was born on 9 October 1988 in Sapele, Delta, in Nigeria. When she was growing up, she played football as a teenager at her high school and later, in 2004, she began to take an interest in track and field. Long jump – 7.00 m (22 ft 11 1⁄2 in) (2013)
Triple jump – 14.13 m (46 ft 4 1⁄4 in) (2007)
60 metres (indoor) – 7.18 seconds (2010)
Okagbare was a triple jump bronze medallist at the 2004 Nigerian National Sports Festival. Okagbare’s first international outing came at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
