Born on 19 June, 1951 is Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa having his social name as Charly Boy. He hails from Imo State, Eastern region of Nigeria. He is the second son to former Supreme Court judge Chukwudifu Oputa being an Oguta-native. He is a multi-Talented Singer/Songwriter, Television Presenter, Publisher, Producer and one of Nigeria’s most controversial Entertainers. Charly is best known for his alternative lifestyle, Political views and Media productions, most notably The Charly Boy Show
He has been president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, and in 2011 an Idol Series judge.
Apart from the Resume-Or-Resign-Movement Charly Boy recently, (towards the ending of third quarter, 2017) during the absence of Nigerian President General Mohammadu Buhari due to ill-Health, Charly Boy was among the leaders of the group; OurMumuDonDo protest in Abuja, which included some other prominent people such as Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and the likes of them.
