Born on 26 March, 1977 in Plateau State, Northern region of Nigeria. He is a Nigerian radio Presenter, Voice Over Artist, Singer and Compere. The person of Emmanuel Essien popularly known as Mannie Essien. Due to his father’s occupation (Educationist) Essien and his family toured round Nigeria as he did his Primary and Secondary education in Cross River, Enugu and Uyo respectively, while he studied Linguistics at University of Calabar. He is the former host of the Good Morning Nigeria show on Nigerian radio station, 96.9 Cool FM, in Lagos.
His songs are as follows, Debut; “Moving On”, and many others.
He has won for him self several awards and Nominees such as; Hollywood’s Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award in USA for best Nigerian On Air Personality, outstanding radio show in the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards and many more.
