Siya Shezi was born as Siyabonga Shezi in Soweto. He is a South African recording Artiste from Soweto. Siya an active member of the Deep Soweto Hip-Hop Family also based in Soweto/South Africa. Shezi began his rhyming back in the year 2000 rose to his pinnacle in the year 2005 through the inception of the deep Soweto Crew which ruled the streets of Soweto for a long time in hip hop seminars around Soweto. In 2007 Siya saw himself recording the deep Soweto Mixtape which saw him perform on many stages and traveling in neighboring provinces around South Africa.

Shezi went on to record another Mixtape in 2009 under the deep Soweto Crew and in 2011 he worked with Grand Dezaen records in recording his recently released Mixtape “Iqaba” which is making heavy waves in the streets of South Africa. Siya is one emcee/artist who is keeping the Deep Soweto flag on higher levels in his gift of word delivery. A journey walked in hip hop known as Kasi Rap saw him wining the crown at Slughuis in 2010 for the king of street competition.

His latest collaboration with Hip Hop Heavy-weight Dj’s Major League featuring Ricky Rick and Cassper Nyovest on the track. The Business has also been received very well by fans and music lovers on radio across the country. That video is highly contested with the feature Siya has also done well with StanBeats on Isbamu Sama Lyric of which music video has also just been released. His latest offering regards Ghetto story concepts full with comedy and realness as hes followers have come to know him.
