Colin Alexander Ingram was born on 3 July 1985. He was born in Port Elizabeth. He attended Woodridge College in the Eastern Cape where he was their star cricketer in his years there. He played for the college for 5 years and captained them for three of those years. Imgram is a South African cricketer who currently plays for Glamorgan and the Warriors. He represented South Africa at the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup played in Bangladesh.

Colin played two seasons in England for Spondon Cricket Club in the Derbyshire Premier League, scoring 2401 runs at an average of 57.17. Ingram struggled for a batting spot in the Eastern Province originally, but soon after he gained experience from both County Cricket, and some playing time for Eastern Province, his skills increased with each innings played.
