Ummah Shehu is a Kannywood actress who won her first award in 2015 at the City People Awards, as the best new actress in the Hausa film category. She became popular after acting in the film Sa-In-Sa, besides Adam Zango.

Ummah joined Kannywood through her friend “Tijjani Asase whom she followed to a shoot and there she took the opportunity of replacing the actress who was unavailable at the shoot. Sho got the role and from there received several other roles from various producers.
