Tanzanian artist and TV personality Marianne Mdee who is also known as Mimi mars is the younger sister of Tanzanian pop singer, Vanessa Mdee and former KTN presenter, Nametro Mdee.
Her passion for art and music goes way back to her childhood. She also hosts gigs which began since her days in High school. Janet hosted Coke Studio Africa pre-seasoning party and party in the park.

She is a graduate in in tourism management from the Nilai University, Malaysia. She also holds a degree in law from Kampala University Dar Es Salaam.
