Karim El Ahmadi Aroussi was born on 27 January, 1985. He is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Feyenoord. Aroussi was born in the Netherlands. He was born and raised in Enschede, Overijssel, Netherlands. His parents are both Moroccan, making him eligible to acquire the Moroccan citizenship and represent the Morocco national football team
Karim El has played for FC Twente and Feyenoord before moving to the Premier League with Aston Villa in 2012 and subsequently returning to Feyenoord in September 2014.
Karim played for the Dutch national youth teams, but opted to represent Morocco at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands.
In May 2018 he was named in Morocco’s 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
