Kene Rapu is a lawyer turned footwear designer and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Kene Rapu, a Nigerian based footwear brand that champions local production of handcrafted Sandals and Slippers, using locally sourced materials and workmanship. She is passionate about fashion and the growth and development of the Nigerian fashion industry.
She was listed on ForbesAfrica30under30 2018 and has been featured on CNN African Voices.
Her success, however, did not happen overnight. As a young girl of 13, she began to partake in various internship programs.
