She was born in Kitwe on October 22, 1987. She had her primary education at Nkana Trust School from 1993 to 1999. She then went on to Ibenga Convent School where she did the rest of her secondary education until 2004. She studied Business Administration at the Zamtel College where she graduated with a diploma. She also holds a diploma in journalism which she obtained at the Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation (MEF) in Kitwe in 2009.

In 2007, Mwanza began her career from Flava FM in Kitwe where she worked for five years and has recently joined the Lusaka based Hot FM.
