Sani Muazu

Sani Mu’azu is an award-winning legendary movie director, producer, and actor. He was born on May 2, 1960, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Jos, Plateau state.

He has taken numerous roles in the administration and development of the Nigerian film industry, he was President of the Motion Picture Practitioner’s Association of Nigeria. Sani Mu’azu worked on an international film project titled SOWETO directed by Mike Reburn. He was involved in the international film titled Mister Johnson directed by Bruce Beresford in 1990.

Sani played the role of Alhaji Danladi Maikano in the 2018 Nigerian drama film, Lionheart. He also produced a feature film titled Mountain Blues in 2007 and the film won the Best Feature film award at the Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF). In 2019, he won the filmmaker of the year at the Plateau man of the year award.
