Becca’s full name is Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong. The Ghanaian singer-songwriter and actress was born on 15 August 1984 as the first girl and fifth born of nine children. She was ranked 94 on E.tv Ghana’s 2013 list of the 100 most influential people in Ghana

After her graduation from college, she worked as a child care and education staff, before relocating back to Ghana after spending many years abroad. Prior to her being famous, Becca was a contestant on the second season of TV3’s annual singing competition, Mentor. In 2007, she released her debut studio album, Sugar, and surprisenly it earned her five nominations at the 2008 Ghana Music Awards. She has performed alongside MI, 2face Idibia and Patoranking.
