Born on July 9, 1986 in a little town in the Northern Cape called Nieuwoudtville, Hildegardt Whites is a South African actress and singer. She attended Nieuwoudtville Primary School and started to sing at her local open-air church from the age of 11. Today she has made a name for herself in the gospel circles around the cape. Hildegardt attended high school at Hoërskool Vredenburg, this is where she began to show promise in the art of acting, and further improving on her singing ability.
During her final year of high school she heard about an audition for the musical, West Side Story, she went and got the role of Anita, herfirst experience as an actress on stage. Hildegardt Whites applied to studied drama at Northlink College in Cape Town and spent her first year of tertiary study there, after the first year she was selected to study Drama at TUT in Pretoria (previously known as Pretoria Technikon). Here she honed her acting skills and specialized in, over and above stage acting, Singing and Teaching. She completed her studies and graduated in 2008.
In September 2010 she finally received a call from the 7de Laan producers to come in and does a four week call as Bonita, the four week call eventually became a permanent role.
