Claire Mawisa was born on October 7, 1979 in Cape Town. She is a South African television presenter, model and radio personality. Claire started as a teenager just at the age of 14 to make wonders in her modelling career. This started when she was approached by a model boss and was signed to Topco Models. The company participated in the prestigious model competition, Cosmopolitan Model of the Year 1994, and to people’s amazement, claire won the competiton just at the age of 15.

Claire have appeared and worked in the following events and organisations, hosted the reality fashion show The Cut: South Africa in 2006, co-hosted the second season of the reality show You’re Hired, co-hosted ‘Live and Dangerous’ with Phat Joe, Yfm’s breakfast show; co-hosted Miss SA Teen 2000 and 2001 with Michael Mol; won a Duku Duku award, became the Team Leader for SABC1 presenters, and became a preferred choice for a female MC during her 2 year stint as a Simunye presenter.
