Itahiwacu Bruce has his nickname as Bruce Melodie, he is known for hit records such as “Ndumiwe” and “Incwi”. was born in Kanombe Village, district of Kicukiro in Kigali to a father who served as a soldier and mother who owned a small business in a village, Bruce has three siblings. He is currently married and blessed with a kid.

Itahiwacu gained his debut during Rwanda’s entry into Coke Studio Africa early 2018 via R&B music.

He attended Camp Kanombe Primary School before completing his secondary school studies at Rwamagana Islamic Secondary School.

 Bruce has been paired with popular Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones known for his quick rap flow and Bangers like “Micasa Sucasa”. He is singer/songwriter is also a composer and music producer.

Melodie started training his vocal talent from an early age, singing in the Main Choir at a local church – which inspired him to become a record producer.

Has worked with several celebrities such as Weasel, Khaligraph Jones,  Dj Maphorisa and others.
Bruce in 2017 was a nominee at Uganda’s Hipipo Music Awards in the Song of the Year (Rwanda) category with “Turaberanye”. He is also a two-time winner of Best R&B artist of the Year at the Salax Awards (2013, 2014).
Melodie has several qualities that make him stand out but the most vital one is his ability and principle of believing in himself alone for possibility in life.
He released his debut album “Ndumiwe” dropped in August 2013 and was also signed to The Super Level – a highly ranked music label in Rwanda this elevating him to instant fame. His second studio album “Ntundize” was dropped in 2014 and this followed the success of his debut compilation with popular songs like “Ntundize” and “Ntujya Unkinisha” which ranked him so high in the regional market.
