Linda Ikeji Biography

Born on September 19, 1980 as the second child, Linda Ifeoma Ikeji is a Nigerian news carrier blogger, writer, entrepreneur and former model. Raised in a Catholic family from Nkwerre, Imo State. Linda began to express her hobby in writing at the age of 10. After her secondary education, she enrolled at the University of Lagos, where she studied English Language and graduated in 2004.

In 2006, Linda started her blog Linda Ikeji Blog, though following some difficulties in accessing the internet back then, she have to go to a cyber cafe to update it. She used google subdomain for her blog before getting her own custom domain.
In August 2012, Forbes Africa dedicated itself to celebrating African women that month’s issue. In that issue, Forbes profiled Africa’s 20 Most Prominent Women and the issue featured profiles on two young Nigerian women: Linda Ikeji, as well as Chibundu Onuzo.
Linda Ikeji was the biggest Google Search trend in Nigeria for 2014. The name Linda Ikeji was the most searched item by users of Google in Nigeria.
Ikeji was interviewed by BBC on their Focus on Africa programme. The interview aired on 25 September 2012. She’s the elder sister to Laura Ikeji.
