Cinderella (mostly called Cindy) Sanyu was born on 28 August 1985 in Kampala, Uganda. She is a famous artist mostly known in the Eastern part of Africa and also have many fans around the world. The beautiful artiste kicked off her career as a teenager and took part in “Capital Radio All Stars talent search” when she was only 15 years old and later was a member of the group Blu*3 in 2003, a group consisting of Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru.

Through Blu*3, Sanyu found music success winning the Best Artist/Group from Uganda & Best Music Video from Uganda in the 2005 Kisima Music Awards, Video of the Year (“Hitaji”) in the 2005 Pearl of Africa Music Awards and Video of the Year (“Burrn”) in the 2007 Pearl of Africa Music Awards. As time went by she was dropped from the group and this led her to go solo, making her debut with the album Ayokyayokya which was released in 2009, this album topped charts all over East Africa with hits like “Mbikooye” and “Nawewe”, “Ayokyayokya”, and “One and Only.
