Winnie Mashaba was born on April 1, 1981. She is a South African award-winning gospel singer, songwriter and presenter. The talented lady started singing when she was very young and in 1998, she finished high school from Mashupje High School and began pursuing her music career. In 2000 she came out with her debut album titled Exodus 20 which brought her to limelight.

Winnie obtained her senior certificate through Adult Basic Education and Training in 2012 and later obtained a degree in Psychology. According to Mybiohub team research, She also has a business, Tswako Music Company to look into her Music publishing rights and Event Management Company which has 2 branches at Polokwane and Pretoria. Mashaba has had many awards and nominations such as 2005 Kora Africa Music Award, SA Music Awards nomination and Metro FM Music Awards, Best Gospel Artist of the Year 2006 for TUT FM, won the One Gospel Best Song of the Year award for Hakena Nako in 2008 and the 2010 Best Female Artist at the Crown Gospel Awards.
