Abdul Wahab “Alade” Aminu was born on 14 September, 1987. He is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player, born  in Atlanta and grew up in nearby Stone Mountain, Georgia to a Nigerian father and by a New York City mother. He played for Nanterre 92 of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Georgia Tech. In his freshman year, Aminu came off the bench in 24 games, Averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, while shooting point 489% from the floor.

Aminu graduated from Georgia Tech in 2009 and was drafted by NBA that same year. Also Alade in 2009 season had good time with the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League, before being traded in March to the Bakersfield Jam.

Coming back for his sophomore year, Aminu’s role increased slightly, in which he played 18 games, averaging 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, shooting point 583% from the floor being his best shooting percentage during his college career.

Below are his signings and periods with various clubs; In the summer of 2012, he signed a contract with Pınar Karşıyaka of the Turkish Basketball League, In September 2013, he signed with Enel Brindisi, In January 2014, he signed with Banvit B.K 2015 season, he signed a contract with TED Ankara Kolejliler, in September 2015 he signed for Hapoel Eilat of the Israel Super League just to mention but a few.
