K Michelle whose real name is Kimberly Michelle Pate is an American R&B singer, songwriter, television personality, guitarist and pianist. She was born on March 4, 1982 in Memphis, Tennessee, United States and right from her childhood days she learnt how to play piano and guitar, and took voice lessons from Bob Westbrook, who also trained pop singers Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

She came out with her debut album in 2013 called Rebellious Soul. K Michelle charted singles with “Fakin’ It” and “Can’t Do This.” For her education, she graduated from Overton High School in 2000 and later attended Florida A&M University on a music scholarship. She had a son in 2014 and in 2016 she started dating Kastan Sims after she has dated NBA shooting guard J.R. Smith.
