Buhle Ngaba is a South African actress and writer who is popularly known for the book The Girl Without a Sound, a children’s book which was written to empower young black girls in South Africa.
She was born in KwaZulu-Natal and raised in Cape Town. Her family is from the villages of Ganyesa and Tlhapeng in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality in the North West where she spent much of her childhood.

Buhle began writing from the age of six when her aunt gave her a book to read. This stirred a passion about telling stories and she has been writing and acting since then.
