The Wedding Party 2 its destination in Dubai, is a 2017 Nigerian romantic comedy drama film. It was directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, produced by Priscilla Nwanah, Temidayo Abudu, Tope Oshin Ogun and Naz Onuzo.
Wedding Party 2 is sequel to The Wedding Party which was released in December 2016. Principal photography for the film, which was shot in Lagos and Dubai, began in May 2017. It was among the highest grossing Nigerian film of that period.
The movie focuses on Dozie’s elder brother (Banky Wellington), Nonso (Enyinna Nwigwe), who has continued his romance with Deardre (Daniella Down), Dunni’s (Adesua Etomi) as bridesmaid.
Nonso takes Deardre on a date in Dubai so as to propose marriage by surprise this followed a disastrous traditional engagement ceremony in Lagos, Nonso’s family and Deardre’s aristocratic British family reluctantly agree to a wedding in Dubai.
