He
is one of the best actors in Nollywood industry who brought the
industry to light, starting as early as 1991 when the industry was not
well organized.
Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu, hails from Ogidi in
Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The fourth and the
second son in a family of six who was born April 18 in the 60‘s.
He
attended his primary education at St. Peters Primary School (now
Hillside Primary School) in the Coal Camp, Enugu, had his secondary
education at Oraukwu Grammar School, Oraukwu.
He is a graduate from the
University of Port Harcort where he obtained a Certificate and Bachelors
of Arts Degree in Theater Arts with a Masters degree in Political
Science, majored in International Relations from the University of
Lagos,Akoka.
In 2014, he received the Lifetime Achievement award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
He came to limelight in the television soap opera
titled “Checkmate”, playing the role of Richie, “Richard Haatrope”
between 1991 and 1995. He is a happily married father of two lovely
kids.
