Ayo Adesanya is one of the popular actresses in the 1990’s. She was born on August 11th 1969 and hails from Ijagun, ijebu in Ogun State located in Southwest Nigeria. Ayo who was among the people that made the Nollywood movie industry what it is today, started her career in 1996 when she appeared in Tunji Bamishigbin’s soap opera titled Palace after her National Youth Service (NYSC), but later joined the Yoruba indigenous Nigerian movies.
The graduate of University of Ibadan with a degree in Communications And Language Arts grew up in a family of four, two brothers and a cousin but lost her father early. Currently she’s also a producer and a director.

She has featured in many movies but some of them are; Fire Dancer, Tears in My Heart, Palace, Abused and others. She was married to Goriola Hassan but not legally with whom she have a son with, but they have separated now.
