Born on 26 June 1988 in Manzini, Swaziland to the family of Henry ‘Tum’ du Pont, son of Princess Ncabile, the daughter of Prince Mshengu who was brother to King Sobhuza II. Amanda du-Pont is a Swazi-born South African actress, model and television personality. She came to be famous for portraying Thabisile Dlamini on SABC 2’s popurlar sopie, Muvhango, and is best known as co-host of SABC 1’s celebrity gossip show, The Real Goboza with Phat Joe and Sinazo Yolwa.

Research have shown that Amanda du-Pont is of Chinese, Portuguese, French and Swazi ancestry. In 2011, du-Pont was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance (‘AFDA’) located in Johannesburg, and one year after, she had graduated from the New York Film Academy in New York City, where she was awarded a full scholarship for scholastic excellence. She appeared as Serina in a 2007 American television serial drama, Life is Wild, adapted by Michael Rauch, George Faber and Charlie Pattinson from the popular British drama Wild at Heart.
Amanda du-Pont once had widely publicized relationships with South African hip hop stars Jub Jub and Slikour.
