Chomee Biography – Pictures, Age

Born October 6, 1986 Chomee with real name Thulisile Madihlaba is a South African musician, dancer and choreographer. Known by fans as Queen of Dance, she attended Noordgesig Secondary School and went on to study Media part-time at Boston Media House. Chomee discovered her talent on time as she started dancing for Arthur Mafokate’s 999 Music from the age of 10 and released several albums under the label: First Time, Twice as Nice, Fantasy, Queen of Dance and Songstress.

 She joined the SABC1 dance reality competition Turn It Out as a judge in 2011 and in 2012 Chomee graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a National Diploma in Media Studies.

Chomee was discovered by Arthur Mafokate in 1996 and was contracted as a dancer for 999 Music; this was at the height of the Kwaito genre with the label among those setting the tone and the standard in the South African music scene. She largely remained in the background for years with artists like Nestum (Zanele Nyakale) and Iyaya (Queen Sesoko) at the prime of their careers.
