Cobhams Asuquo (Efik pronunciation: [ˈko̞bʱäms äsˈuːku:wo̞]) is a visually impaired Nigerian musician, producer, and songwriter. In 2005, Asuquo was signed on with Sony ATV London as a songwriter.
After working as Head of Audio Productions at a local label,
Questionmark
Entertainment, he set up his own recording facility in
2006. He is CEO/ Head of Productions of CAMP (Cobhams Asuquo Music
Productions) which is currently representing himself, Bez Idakula and Stan Iyke. He was responsible for Aşa’s highly acclaimed international album ASA and has been mentioned on many artists’ sleeve credits as producer and writer.
Cobhams has also helped create career defining hits for several of
Nigeria’s renowned artistes. It is not necessary you find his songs on
music charts all the time but artistes’ know when to turn to for classic
and timeless music. He has worked with various artists like Asa,
Djinee, MI, Styl Plus, Omawunmi Bez, Rooftop Mc’s, Banky W, Charly Boy, ,
Darey Art Alade, 2face Idibia and more. He is currently the CEO/ Head
of Productions of CAMP (Cobhams Asuquo Music Productions.
