Born in 1980 in Arusha, Tanzania, Irene Kiwia is the founder of Frontline Management, a Public Relations and Corporate Communication Company which started in 2006. Irene attended the University of Dar es Salaam in 2001-2004 for her bachelor’s degree where she obtained a degree in International Relations and Public Administration and pursued a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing at the same institution in 2010.
Before establishing her own PR company, Irene had a 10 years work experience with the media, presented and produced her own talk shows on East Africa Television, worked as a radio host and producer at IPP Media and as a free lance PR consultant.
In 2009 Irene founded Tanzania Women of Achievement, an NGO that runs different programs that contribute towards the development of women in Tanzania. The NGO’s programs include; Tanzania Women of Achievement Awards (TWAA), a program that empower Tanzanian women who through their work have made significant impacts in their communities. TWA also runs a mentorship program that empowers young Tanzania women in rural Tanzania.
In 2010 she was nominated by the US State department to participate in the esteemed global leadership program Fortune/US State Department Global Women Mentoring Program for one month where women leaders from Fortune 500 companies and US State Department mentored her. Irene Kiwia received a coin of Excellency in 2011 from the US Ambassador to Tanzania Alfonso Lenhardt in recognition of her contributions and achievements towards women empowerment in Tanzania.
