Owumi Ugbeye is a Nollywood actress that was born to an actress Tosan Ugbeyeand brought up in Lagos. She is best known for her role in ‘Shuga’ the series where she played Bikiya, her first professional acting job.

She started her career full time in 2013. Owumi have featured in a movie titled stolen lives which premiered at the Ozone Cinemas, Yaba. In the movie, she played the role of Amarachi, a young and naïve secondary school student who was raped by her friend’s lover at his birthday party. She subsequently becomes pregnant and is rejected by her parents. Under the threat by her rapist, she can’t reveal his identity and her parents think she has betrayed their trust.
