Tsepiso Makwetla Biography – Age

Tsepiso Makwetla is a South African journalist. She started her broadcasting career in 1995 at Cani FM. Tsepiso moved to SABC Africa to co-host its flagship current affairs show 60 Minutes Live in 2003. In 2006 she returned to SAfm to co-host the drive-time current affairs show, PM Live, with Jeremy Maggs. This is her work experiences;

SABC Africa

I produced and co-presented a one-hour prime time Current Affairs programme, which featured News, Current Affairs, Business and Sport. I was involved in all levels of production from initiating news stories,  identifying and finding newsmakers, copy tasting, to the interviewing of newsmakers and post production of the program   material.

She worked for the SABC’s SAFM radio station as a news bulletin presenter and writer, as well as desk editor. Her duties included:

news presenting
writing regular news updates for news bulletins
copy tasting
editing
interviewing news sources and editing interviews for use on news bulletins, and  re-angling news items
initiating news stories

SABC TV News

Worked as a television bulletin writer during this period. This entailed:

Writing, editing and selecting visuals for news articles.
Writing and producing news headlines.
Voicing news articles
Editing scripts from journalists for news articles that would be aired on the SABC’s prime time television news show at 8pm.
