Bakary Koné (French pronunciation: [bakaʁi kɔne], was born on 27th April 1988 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. He is a professional footballer from Burkina Faso who plays as a central defender for Spanish club Málaga CF and National team.
Career
Early career
Koné started his football career when he played for the youth side for CFTPK Abidjan and joined in 2004 to Etoile Filante.
Senior career
Koné career took a new shape 2005 with Etoile Filante and signed in July 2006 with En Avant Guingamp. He played his debut game for En Avant Guingamp on 11 May 2007 against Tours FC in the Ligue 2. Whilst at Guingamp, then in Ligue 2, Koné featured in the 2009 Coupe de France Final in which they beat Rennes.
Koné joined Lyon on 11 August 2011, at transfer fee of €3.8 million, contract which is to keep him with the club for five years.He netted his first goal with Lyon in the champions league play-offs against Rubin Kazan on 24 August 2011 and second goal in Champion’s League group stage against Dinamo Zagreb on 27 September.
Koné moved on to sign a three-year contract deal with La Liga side Málaga CF On 27 June 2016.
