Born Joseph Jonathan Ngwem on 20 July 1991, He started his football career with a home base club Unisport of Haut-Nkam, He played as a left back for the club. His football career took a new shape when he landed a contract with FC Progresso Sambizanga, a football club in Angola. The contract was revealed to be a year and a half.
International career
The Cameroon international has impressed the countries coach who deemed it right to name him as one the members of his team the featured in African cup of Nation 2017.
