Are you a fan of politics? you will definitely know Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma, he is a politician born on April 12, 1942 in Nkandla, Natal Province (currently part of the province of KwaZulu-Natal). He is the president of South Africa and the 4th since his victory in the 2009 general election under the African National Congress party. Prior to being the president, he was the deputy president of South Africa from 14 June 1999 – 14 June 2005 while Thabo Mbeki was the president.

At the age of 17, he joined the African National Congress but there were problems in the party when the South African government banned the party but the young vibrant man then didn’t stop in his quest to the top but in 1963 he went ahead to join South African Communist Party (SACP). Luck ran out of him and he was arrested with a group of 45 recruits and was accused of planing to over throw the government which made him to serve 10 years imprisonment.
