Daniel Kolawale Olukoya was born on 15 July 1957 in Akure, Ondo state to a police officer and his wife, a trader. He is a Nigerian pastor and founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM).

Olukoya attended Methodist Boys’ High School, Lagos.
Tertiary
University of Lagos (Unilag) – First class degree in Microbiology (1976 – 1980)
University of Reading – Doctorate degree in molecular genetics

When he returned to Nigeria, he worked as a geneticist at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba and later established the Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation, a registered NGO, to train Nigerian citizens in molecular biology and biotechnology. In 1989, Daniel established Mountain of Fire and Miracles. He got married to Shade Olukoya and the couple is blessed with a son.
