Let’s go a bit to Angola and introduce to you Pérola (which means Pearl in English). She is an Angolan singer and songwriter, born on 28th of April in Huambo – Angola. The popular artiste began singing at the age of 7 and has always had a “great” passion for music, which she shared with her neighbors and friends by performing certain music numbers once in a while for them as a hobby.
When she was 13 years old, she moved with her family to Windhoek, Namibia, where she continued her studies, where she continued to do what she likes the most “Sing”.
From 1997 to 2001 she enrolled at Concordia College for the academic period of (8th to 12th grade) where she was part of a dance group called “Earth Girls.” She was also invited to sing whenever there was any special activity at the college, which she was very honored to participate.

While in Windhoek, she won the title of Miss Concordia College and participated in a competition to discover new talents, organized by the Catholic Church, having won two trophies, for Best Duet and Best Female Performer of the Night.

In 2002, She left to the South African Republic where she began her tertiary studies at law faculty in the University of Pretoria. Pérola’s first album was in 2004 titled “Os Meus Sentimentos” ( My Feelings in English).
