South African actress and dancer, Florence Mokgatsi (aka Florence Matlakala) was born in 1992. She is best known for her role as Itumeleng Motaung, daughter of ANC Chief Whip Zweli Motaung in the SABC2 television drama series 90 Plein Street, from 2007-2012.
Florence started acting at the age of 12. She attended Forte High School in Dobsonville and studied drama at the Youth in Trust Performing Arts School in Marshaltown, where passed through the mentor-ship of Nelson Mokoena.

She also starred as Tshidi in the SABC1 children’s drama series Soul Buddyz. She also had a supporting role in the SABC1 sitcom Nomzamo. She equally featured as a lead actress in a stage play called Everyday and Mafia Kids and also performed at the Windbrow’s Childrens’ theatre and at the Wits Great Hall theatre with Youth in Trust. She aspires to become the best dancer and actress and feature in Hollywood films.
She has won best actress in 2006 for Kongkoriko Productions and her hobbies are reading, writing and modelling.
