A popular Nollywood actor, he hails from Oyo State, Western region of Nigeria. Is no other person than Olaniyi Afonja. He is married to Hawawu Omolara Afonja and blessed with children. Olaniyi attended St. Michael Primary School, Oke-Ibo and Durbar Grammar School for his Secondary education both in Oyo State. Olaniyi foundations in acting Olaniyi’s acting career started in 1992 after joining a theater group introduced to him by a friend. In 1996, Olaniyi relocated to Lagos State to further his career and since then has featured in several Yoruba movies.
Olaniyi has won for himself several awards and Nominees among which are; Yoruba Movie Academy Awards, Best Comedy Actor. City People Entertainment Awards. Best Movie Producer of The Year (Yoruba), Comic Actor of The Year (Yoruba).
